Mozilla Firefox vs JPEG photos on UHH

I am going to assume that I am not the only person using Mozilla Firefox as their browser. That said, am I the only one that is having problems with some of the photos posted on UHH? At least once a day, someone will post a photo that arrives totally scrambled on my system. Some are (download) type photos with full data, others are smaller size photos that should have no problems what-so-ever. I am gathering data to go to Mozilla with, but can't believe that a search on their support site indicates that nobody else is having this problem. Here are a couple of examples from March 2nd. Hope the OP's don't mind me showing their work this way.

I have narrowed it down to the fact that it is Thunderbird. I have a couple thousand JPEGs of my own and never have the problem. I have tried IE and had no problem, including the donkey's above. Right now, I am at a loss as to what is gong on, but intend to resolve this so that I can enjoy all of the photos. Your input would be appreciated.

Thunderbird never worked for me either. I do use FF and have never had a problem. Try using Yahoo mail, or Gmail, even Outlook.

Have you updated your "transmografication" software?

Might be a good idea.

:D

Actually, if the problem is with Firefox, I guess a different browser would be suggested. However, my uneducated guess is that the problem is not with the browser; but perhaps with any number of other possibilities -- inner workings of your computer, software, internet provider, etc, etc.

To find the solution will probably be a process of testing and elimination.

Good luck!

I have had problems with Firefox but was always able to correct the issue by re-downloading. The only time I have seen this type if image issue was when I copied some images from one file to another with a flash drive that had gone bad and got the same type image problem. I reformatted the drive and it worked fine for a few times then it occurred again so I pitched the flash drive.

I use Firefox and I haven't seen this sort of problem, but I never have been able to get Thunderbird to work at all and gave up on it completely. The only time I've ever had problems like this was right before my hard drives crashed.

Thanks everyone.... Still testing and still seeing the problem but have shifted direction to the Nvidia drivers. Discovered a couple other issues that are video related and it may be the root of the evil. Thanks again.
