Memory Cards

Is the Lexar Professional 600x 32GB SDHC UHS-I Flash Memory Card overkill for my Nikon D3100? I'm between this and the SanDisk Extreme 32GB UHS-I/U3 SDHC Memory Card. By the way, what is the "UHS-I" and "UHS-I/U3" referring to?

Thanks,

Dennis (aka Triplets)

For a description, go to WikiPedia and search for Secure Digital. UHS refers to bus speed.

Like camera models, memory cards need a better naming system. If the name doesn't tell you anything, why name it? We all know the difference between 16GB and 32GB, but HC, UHS, are /U3 meaningless terms - unless you have access to the "code book."

Just make sure the card you buy is approved for use in your camera.
