Sunrises for your critique...
There has been talk about getting up early in time to catch the sunrise. The last 3 are sunsets. I like 'em simple. Tell me what you would do differently please.
About 4:30 one fine morning...
Colorado State Capitol at sunrise
A place in the country...
Sunset #1
Sunset #2
Sunset #3 Not a quality shot but good color
I really like sunset #1, great colors on sunset #2, Mixed feelings on sunset #3. Not a fan of lighted closeups within a dark background except for portraits. I've always liked dark silhouette.

I like sunset #1 the best because of the color tonal range and evokes a calm emotion to me. I also like seeing the silhouette of the trees in this photo.
I'm a sucker for a sunset. They are all beautiful.
Love "One fine morning" and sunset #1. I agree with Robert, great colors on #2.

#3 is my favorite..... don't know that I'd do anything different.
I love a place in the country, with the tree and sunset #1. I would not change a thing.
Wow to all of the them.. but then I Love sunrises and sunsets... God's paintings... Beautiful...
The first five I like but the last one I would do without the flash to light up the foreground. I think leaving it dark would look nicer. Great job..

"One fine morning" and "Sunset 1"- perfection for me!
Aside from the last photo... "I spy, with my UN-trained eye"...
Nothing I would change :)
Thanks folks for both the compliments and the criticism. It's very interesting, how you sort of already have figured out what others reactions will be. Sometimes, we can do that on the spot when shooting a scene and other times, what with serendipity and all, we have to figure it out later. Largely, what appeals to ourselves is often what turns out to appeal to others, and likewise what doesn't appeal to us...
I will just say, so you won't be disappointed, I do have the non-flash version of the last one in better condition than the one I posted and it looks a lot better. I debated about the flash and then gave myself permission to do it both ways. Thanks again.
love the third one the best. love the composition and the interesting tree.
I like the compositions. I think that you'd be served well to touch up your pictures with editing software... Enrich the colors and add depth...

I can't take credit but I'll sure pass that along to Mother Nature next time I see her. One thing I thought would have hit by now is that the horizon is slanting left but I guess anyone who has seen that has seen that the tree is erect and therefore the horizon line must be a sloping mountain range, which it is. It's hard to fool a trained eye. Nobody has bit and I've just been laying in the grass waiting to pounce. :-)

Actually the bottom of the horizon is pretty straight...but then again, MOST horizons are not perfectly straight..tree lines and mountains often change that..... you did good
