Just wanted to let you know I got my Nikon D7100, it was delivered by UPS yesterday afternoon. Makes you feel like a little kid at Christmas. I got it from B&H, ordered last Saturday evening on-line (01/03/15), delivered 01/07/15. Great service. It box was really cold since our temperature drop over the last few days. I didn't want to take any chances of condensing moisture by opening the box too soon with the warm air in the house. I let it set for a few hours to warm up slowly before opening it. I checked the contents and all is good. I am charging the battery and looking through the User Manual to get me started. I'll probably cut the learning curve down a bit by looking through the manual. I can tell already that this is going to be great.

You will love it.
Read that manual, its chock full of great data, but will not actually tell you how to USE your new instrument. There are a lot of good aftermarket shooting guides that will though, should you need one. Have fun!

Thank you. I want to familiarize myself with the buttons and some of the options available on it. I think I saw several Field Guides on Amazon so I may check into one of them too. When I get some more money available, I will be wanting to get some additional good lenses. I have checked out your Camera Cottage website and I may contact you to see what lenses new or used you might have in stock and the pricing. I'm retired so it may be a little while, but I won't forget.

Congratulations, I am anxiously waiting for mine to come in tomorrow, 01/09/2015. UPS says it will be here. Hope so!
I have been wanting a D7100 for about a year now.
Picked up a copy of "Nikon D7100: From Snapshots to Great Shots" by John Batdorff.
It seems to be just what I needed to study while waiting on my camera to arrive. Takes you through the controls and a lot of basics, but that is what I needed and answered a lot of my questions.
Very excited to get it delivered and start the learning curve.

Keep me posted on how you progress with yours.

Congratulations! I commend you for your patience. I don't know if I would have been able to just look at that box (which is exactly what I would have been doing) for several hours before opening. You are going to love it. I shoot mainly with the D7000. Great camera, and yours is even better!

Congrats! I know EXACTLY how you feel. Mastering the D7100 by Darrell Young and ordered on Amazon for my Kindle got me off and running and I never needed the manual til much later!
