Hi,

I have a question about how to eliminate, or extremely reduce noise shooting at high ISO's without flash in an indoor setting. I have a real problem with this. I uswe a Canon T1i with 200-400 f4-5.6 lens. I also step down to an 17-40 2:8 lens and get the same problem.
anyone have an idea??
Thanks,
Wayne

Is there a reason for the no flash?? As much as I know high ISO numbers equal noise. Canon has L lenses that may help a little, but your talkin big $$$$$$$$$$$$$

What is the reason for the high ISO? Why can't you keep the ISO at 400 or less? This avoids the problem of noise. Some manufactures have noise reduction systems built into the camera (i.e. Sony) and it works good, but you get ISO too high and it can do only so much. Noise will be there at high ISO, you have learn when and how you want to incorporate "noise" into your pictures, if you do. Just manufactures make cameras that have ISO's of 16000 or 32000 does not mean that you have to use that setting.
