Robert,
This is not really a enthusiast site, it is for the casual photographer. Now those of us using SLRs would not even consider what they suggest.

George,
I'm not an underwater photography enthusiast but looking at the recommendations on the link I provided they seemed fairly basic.
To whit, it suggests buying a dedicated UW camera instead of a WP housing for your digital SLR and then goes into the selection parameters of UW cameras which undoubtedly also apply to housings. Further it provides some basic UW shooting tips.
At the end there are links to UW housings for SLRs.
I am therefore a bit confused by your comment.
Robert,
I didn't read to the end it was mentioning the p&S models so I figured it ended with recommendations for them. My bad for not reading to the end.

George,
Being the "co-moderator for this forum" must be a tough and thankless job but somebody gotta do it :?
Apology noted and accepted, thanks.

Bob,
I have no problem being a moderator, just wish we had more traffic, since I think the sea has a wonderful area to photograph both creatures and reefs.

Tough to dive in Lake Michigan in the middle of winter for me. Too many aspects of photography and not enough time.
I used to live in Schiller Park, prior to going into the Army.
