Nice. There's a lot of material there that could be recycled.

All those parts will be cannibalized and reused somewhere. Recycling because the population is generally very poor is more advanced sometimes than the developed world. TV's Fridges Washing machines and all the other stuff we consider throw away items are still repaired here and reused. Many second hand clothes outlets as well. We recently moved home and discarded quite a bit of stuff, it was all taken by neighbours to be reused. No such thing as a broken chair here just one that needs repair.

Good to hear. I hate to throw anything away. That's why I have a garage full of broken stuff. Even old junk will find itself being useful some day. It's right after I get rid of something that I realize I needed it for something.

Did you ever see the English TV series "Junkyard Wars"? Teams had to build things using only junk.

OK, if real and proper HDR guys love rusty metal, then this image makes you a proper HDR guy because it certainly brings this old rusty truck to life and makes the rust come back alive, at least for a moment anyway.

Thanks Walt my man. This was a treasure trove of rusty old machines but two very drugged up guys living there and two guard dogs on chains who looked like they ate English guys for breakfast plus being in the middle of nowhere alone meant my visit was relatively short. Yep guilty as charged, cowardice overcame the desire to capture the penultimate set of exposures!!!
