I love taking photos and am very much an amateur. I have been using a Fuji simple point and click camera, now wanting to get something a little more advanced. I have been looking at the Panasonic ZS series because of the Leica lenses and even though a point and click you can manually adjust some of the settings. Does anyone have any feedback on these cameras or advice in general.
I usually take photos of my family, flowers and nature.
Thanks so much, happy to be here.
Panasonic & Lecia are both excellent brands. I don't think you would go wrong with either as to quality. My only questions would be are you getting both the options you want and the ease of use that your are comfortable with. I do not know this camera and would ask the same question of any camera. As I said these are great brands but myself I would not have any loyalty to a brand - there are several out there that I bet you woud not be able to tell the diference in the finished product. I would consider a camera such a Canon G12 that allows all of the manual setting and raw shooting with a fixed lens which greatly reduces the weight and more likely to be used. I mentioned Canon only because I know of this camera but several other companies have like cameras. Good luck.
Thank-you, I'll check out the Canon!
The only digital that I use is the Canon 20d. so I am prejudiced toward it.
Mostly I shoot 6x7 mdium format transparancies with my Mamiya RB67
