Very - very nice. Ireland > Vagas to Alaska , wow are you being chased. You have to had a little culture shock between those. As to the pictures - in my humble, subjective, what is it worth opinion I really like them - I seldom use the word love. The framing, the colors and the selection of subjects are suberb and varied. In general The only thing I think I noticed was a few were lacking sharpness. The ones that I noticed was the first bird, the white flower and the bug. I have no idea of your shutter speed or if you used a tripod on any of these but it might be something to watch. If yoou use a photo editing program you could also help your focus and saturation. If you do not have something like Photoshop, I really think you would get a kick out of it. Okay - I do love the pictures of the dog, love the angle and the subject. Thanks for sharing, I have added some - and I love comments

Wow, Mr. NNB, you really hit it out of the park for me with that cat photo! Love (yes, love!) the focus and shallow DoF, with the whiskers/nose/eyes in focus and other parts blurred. Great emotion to it also. Thanks for sharing your work!!!

Nice photos, Scauldy. I have the same 70-300 lens. It's nice. You will get a lot of use out of it. Love Hank.

Great photos, notnoBuddha! Love the bridge, the cemetery, the dogs and the last cat photo. Nice job!

I tried your suggestion for watermarking my photos. It worked perfectly. Thanks.

yes it was a culture shock, especially the ireland to las vegas but the rest was fine. i say that now but in a few months ill be dealing with -40-50 so it probably wont be so fine then! thanks for the feedback, i do appriciate it! i dont use a tripod and im not even sure of how to set the right shutter speed yet for different subjects. i do have photoshop but i just can not use it as it is so difficult  i suppose i really wish i had some hands on training with everything, but this site and the internet should be a help. i really am just new to all this. i have more photos i took today coming so id like to hear any comments, thanks again :D

I am envious all of the pictures of the ducks. The only thing I can think to complain about is that I did not take them. That is not entirely true - I know how to complain about anything, anytime but I only care to share this one at this time. By the way I often write as I speak - little direction, and less of a point. Thanks for the pictures; you may have just inspired me to get off by rear end.

Scauldy...I can honestly say I do LOVE the duck pics...#1 and 3 especially caught my eye. I also am fairly new to the SLR and working to learn things beyond the manual mode. I have been using Picnik for editing and have found it pretty easy to use.
notnoBuddha....i have seen your pictures on many boards since I have joined and they certainly capture the moment.Could you explain to me how to watermark my photo's?Does a watermark show up when they are printed?

thank you very much! actually its kinda funny as #1 and #3 are my favourite too, especially 3, its just really caught in the moment i think. i was surprised that mom let me get as close as i was, i did take some video of them all sleeping and mom was peeking at me every few seconds to make sure i wasen't any threat.
keep the commemts coming as im just like you being very new to all this and for now its just me and my camera going off on litttle adventures. i did buy the dummy book for my camera but that can just teach you things on how to use the actual camera but not on photography itself. wish i had some hands on training!!!

scaldy, the first duck shot is GREAT! I would love to have that one hanging on my wall. All of them are good, but that one grabbed me. Keep up the good work! Also like the POV with several pictures of the dogs - nice!

notnobudda, you cemetary shot is another one of your awesome pictures - lots of emotion.
