Some folks around here accuse ol' Billy of overcooking images. Well the new term is "lightly saute'd" OK.
If you want natural do not bother with HDR software. You can achieve that look with Camera Raw and filters and no hassle with introduced noise and halos etc. Easy peazy.
My HDR shows, its meant to show, that's what I do. If ya like it fine if ya don't I can live with that.
HDR rocks and this is how I do it!!!!!!!!!

3 exposures >Photomatix>Camera Raw>Photoshop>Nik>Alien Skin Exposure 6.

Critiques of all shapes and sizes welcomed in this corner

Lightly sauteed works for you. The clouds are MUCH more interesting in number 2 as is the contrasts in the "road".

The only real issues I have with processing of any kind is when someone wants you to believe it came out the camera that way.

For what it's worth, your version is much better.

I can do other things Walt but one is limited by what you have around you.
I love old stone buildings but they are very few and far between in the Philippines so for the moment Im a one trick pony Im afraid.
Thank you for dropping by my friend I do appreciate your support.

Billyspad,
I have been working real hard, trying to master your technique.
After a lot of experimentation I have settled on three minutes thirty five seconds in clean peanut oil. This gives a nice golden glow and a very subtle crunch.
Let me know what you think.

Hey, go with what works. There are some of us who do not have built in photographic prowess or decades of experience so I hear you talking. At least you have the time to cook.

Thats not so shabby my man I like it. Remember when you download one image you will not get the available tonal range to work with. If you want to practice just find a car or a truck close to you and shoot 3 exposures. If you new to HDR avoid any sky in the shot. take it against a brick wall or similar. Sky can cause halos and other problems so leave that to later. If you use Photomatix start with second pre set down, might be called 1, reduce strength and adjust light to suit. Now your on ya way to becoming an HDR freak like ol' Billy

greymule my friend do not worry the pot is always on the fire. Just keep adding a few ingredients to tempt the taste buds.
