Orchid up close

Using a Canon XSi Rebel with f/4.5, exposure of 1/30 sec.,ISO-250, 35mm focal lengh and 10x, 58mm lens attachment to get this orchid. They are a very interesting flower to photograph.

Yes they are tough because they have more focal planes than many flowers. Did you try any with tripod and smaller f-stops? What kind of lighting?

Used a tripod and natural lighting from kitchen window. It was a trial and error with the F stop.

Have you tried stack focusing orchids?

I've been playing around with this process, but right now I cannot attach photos. Might be my computer.

UHH will not accept images 10Mb or larger. Re-size to about 9.5Mb and try again.

Didn't think of that. I don't think they are that size-- but I usually don't check, either
