Obamacare, aka "The Liar's Law" is forcing the closure of small rural hospitals all across America.

Just another aspect of obamacare that is taking place. Unfortunately stories such as this are just the tip of the iceberg.

Judging from most of your posts, could they be mental hospitals?

What I got from glancing through this its a combination of state and fed. Some states opted not to participate in the ACA.

LA County has a very good hospital network. But this is big city and Ca. Did opt to participate in the ACA.

Was there ever any question that California would not adopt obamacare with open arms considering the political make up of the state?

Well of course not. I just added my .02 to say that the already strong health networks that are here in LA were bolstered here by ACA.
I don't know the overall ramifications of ACA. The good that has come out of it is that you cannot be denied because of preexisting conditions, and if I am correct they can't charge you more for one. Lastly the can no longer drop you because you get to sick. Those two points to me make it pretty good.
If someone has more knowledge on the matter I would like to hear. Also another benefit parents can keep their children on til the age of 25. By that time your kids should have it all figured out.

Not too sure about that soba. Have you ever watched Waters World on the O'Reilly Factor. Watching the response, and intellect of many of the young adults interviewed is indeed depressing. What is really sad, is they probably v**e. :(

Jake schools have been sooooo dumbed down its not even funny.
So no I am not surprised one bit.
I do believe there is a conspiracy to make us a stupid nation.
We might differ on some things but you might find at our core beliefs we may have a lot in common.

You are so right about education, Soba. In AZ, not exactly the hotspot for intelligence, the school board has begun tearing pages out of the high school biology books. Thankfully, in this last e******n, the religious nuts were v**ed out but I guess it won't stop until the beginning of the year when the new ones take their places. :(

And we probably never thought this was possible in America.

This is easily explained simply because 98% of the school systems, including those of higher education have been infested with socialist liberal educators that have no love for this country. All one needs do is reference Bill Ayres, Ward Churchill and Elizabeth Warren. I rest my case!

This is a very weak article, Blurry. In two pages it has less than three lines that attempt to explain how Obamacare is the cause of rural hospitals closing. One reason given is the requirement to convert to electronic record keeping. The other is the claim that Obamacare penalizes them when they have to readmit a patient. One has to wonder about the quality of a medical facility that does not even have computerized record keeping systems. Would it be equally oppressive to require that they have phones? The other charge of being penalized for readmission of patients is not explained. Is the author claiming that Obamacare fines hospitals for readmitting patients? If that is the case, why does this practice bankrupt small rural hospitals, but not large urban ones? The alleged fines should be roughly the same percentage of total revenue in each case. For the record, Obamacare does not fine hospitals for having to readmit anyone. It does offer incentives for effective preventive care. When incentives are lost, that is hardly the equivalent of a fine or a penalty. In any case, your article only jumped on data showing rural hospitals closing and blamed it on Obamacare without offering any legitimate justification. You are once again reaching far to the right to grab at straws.

You mean like those i***ts who keep insisting that "intelligent design" be given a voice equal to real science?
