Canon 7D Mkii vs. Photoshop CS6 Camera Raw

I just received the new Canon 7D Mark ii, shot in Camera Raw, tried to down the images in Photoshop CS6 and the program would not accept the images. I've spend endless hours trying to find out via Adobe two simple questions: Is there a plug-in to update CS6 for the new 7D Mkii and if so, how do I find it to down load. Anyone know the best way for me to proceed without endless hours on the Adobe website going in circles with no result? Thank you for your help.

You will have to wait for the next ACR upgrade that includes your camera. Then it's easy, just go to >help> and then to >upgrades<, it will tell you and you'll be just one click away! Until then, use DPP to process your raw.

Thank you very much. I'm not sure what DPP is. Can you elaborate.

I checked the link you suggested and found it very helpful. It looks like I'll have to wait until Adobe updates camera raw for the Mkii.

First save your images to a folder in RAW and keep them on the card (backup) then use the program that came with your camera (DPP) to convert the RAW to JPEG or TIFF (8 or 16bit) and import those to your editing software. Work with those for now. (You can also shoot RAW+JPEG and save to different cards on your 7D II.) When Adobe puts out a conversion for 7D II RAW you then have the RAW to work with and compare to what you got with the work around and keep the version(s) you prefer.

DPP is the photo editing program on the dvd that came with your camera.

Import RAW in Canon Digital Photo Proffessional or another convertor , Export in batch and convert your RAW's in TIFF . Open Lightroom and Import the TIFF's as " Apply " ( not convert as DNG ) . You can edit your pictures in Lightroom !
