Thanks, Carolina! I appreciate the welcome!

With a tack sharp BIF like that using a zoom lens...I can just imagine what you would do with a 400 prime lens!

Greetings folks! I've been reading the daily UHH topics emails for a month or so, registered today and thought I'd say hello.. Long time photographer and Nikonian but moderately recent digital convert (2012). I live near the Texas Gulf Coast, about 10 minutes from the Johnson Space Center. Lots of wildlife photo opportunities in this area, so I'll likely be posting a photo from time to time in the gallery for comments and constructive criticism. Current dslr is a D4s, using primarily a Nikon 80-400 while I decide between the 200-400 or the 400/2.8. Or perhaps both, if I can win the lottery without buying a ticket! 😝
That's about it for now, make it a great day!

Welcome to the UHH. I know what you're going through. Just received the 150-600 Tamron and have been assured by my wife that it functions as a gift for our anniversary this month, Christmas and my birthday in January - and it is worth it! Again, as another Texan, Welcome!

Hi Floyd! Seems like there is a fairly good number of Texans popping up to say hello! Hope you're having a lot of fun with your Tamron! But I think that you're rather lucky that it only consumes the next three gifting windows.. You're wife is a gem!

Hello there, and thank you for the nice compliment.. Those guys rarely pose for me like that fellow did, but with his help I could hardly miss.. And you're right, we're practically neighbors!

Aloha in return, JoAnne! (I can say that because I lived on Oahu for a year when I was growing up!). And thank you for your nice words about my photograph.. I look forward to seeing yours on the hog from time to time!

Thank you Jan! We'll find out as soon as all the stars and planets align and that lens drops from the sky into my hands! I'll let you know the moment that happens!😜
