Hey Kylan, have you tried eBay for either an Ikelite or a Fantasea housing? Of course, check for a Canon housing - they are the least expensive.

A few years ago, in preparation for a trip to the Caribbean, I bought a Liquid Image snorkel mask with a built-in 3 mp camera. More for snapshots than classy photos but I'm very impressed and pleased with the results. Also does video. I'd recommend it for anyone who doesn't want to go the extra expense for true UW gear. It's easy and fun to use. Bought mine first and tried it in our pool. My wife liked it so much I had to buy another one for her. Problem is, though we've been to the Caribbean several times since then, we have an uncanny knack for arriving there the day after inclement weather or strong winds, meaning less than ideal photo conditions. Going to Tahiti in a few months to celebrate our 50th anniversary and should get some good shots there.

You sound like my luck. I studied very carefully the best time to go to American and British Virgin Islands. Season, cost, weather...they had the first tropical storm since 1957 while we were there. The weather stirred up the fish ahead of time instead of after.

Have a WONDERFUL time in Tahiti and bring back loads of photos. I've seen some from there and from Fiji and I'd love to go there. Well, maybe for my 50th.  Have fun and be safe.

Thanks kraszmom. We'll certainly try - if the weather cooperates. Attached is a photo of the snorkel camera in use.
