Mergansers are the white water champions of the duck world.
Ahhhh, now you have hit on a subject I know pretty well. My brother-in-law owned the USA's largest waterfowl farm until a few years ago. I loved ALL of the ducks, geese and swans he had. The HOODED Merganzers were one of my favorites, especially the males with their hoods raised or doing their mating dance. These are beauties and the photos just knock my sock off! You have done it AGAIN!
Great shots! I am always impressed with your pictures. I have one question for you, I know you use a pocket camera a lot and no pp which cameras do you rely on the most?

I never said I do not use PP.On the contrary I maitain that all digital photos must go thru PP to reach their full potentional. What I said is that I use only basic PP and do not believe in removing or adding objects etc. In another words I do not lie with my photos and if I ever alter the reality then it must be obvious. As for my current cameras I carry with me all the time pocket Panasonic ZS7. If I go for a trip or know I will have a major photoop then I carry Canon SX20 bridge and Canon T1i dslr. Thanks,Ivan.
