Yep! 4 cautions....2 competition, 1 for debris on the track, and one for a drunk guy climbing the barrier fence! Not even a flat tire!! And not to mention the same guy leading almost the entire race. :)

Hell you can hardly call in racing anymore. You hear the same thing every race from drivers and crew chiefs, "only one groove", "can't pass", "track position is everything", "you can only pass on pit road". It's my observation that the more important pit crews and stratigy become the less important the drivers become and it's runining NASCAR. I've been a fan since 1958 but am fast becoming bored as hell with this so called "racing". The truck series seems to be the only series even half way fun to watch...as always JMHO

So, what is it you guys are looking for in a race?

Is it only worth watching if people wreck?

A few years ago, I went to my first Rolex 24 at Daytona. It instantly became my favorite form of racing...

I'd like to see more racing on the track, you know like drivers being able to pass. These tracks are all becoming one grove follow the leader venues. If a driver gets out of line in an attempt to make a pass he's shuffled back. It seems that even tracks like Bristol are becoming more Daytona like all the time. I'd like to see the drivers become as important to the race as the pit crews and crew chiefs.

The cars are the same, in an effort to keep someone from running away from the competition. If a car does run away, the rules change for that car, to keep it 'fair'. Just a show is all it is.
I liked it better when a Dodge looked like a Dodge, a Chevy looked like a Chevy, etc.

Let's not forget this thread started in Sept 2014 and was about that specific race that day....
Fast forward to yesterday's sprint cup race....was a good race overall ......even though #48 Johnson won....lol :XD:
Wrecking doesn't make for a good race, just breaks stuff and hurts people too sometimes....bummer when your preferred driver gets put out of the race !

Today I watched The Masters (golf) which I rarely do, was genuinely worth watching ....thought maybe Phil Mickelson
might just blow by everybody and win it again but that new kid Jordan Spieth won it ......also $1.8 million besides the green jacket !
