I hope you are all having a good weekend.
I suppose I could answer this question myself if I went through the pictures.
I often enter the photcontest when I have time to take something worthwhile and I really enjoy looking at the entries.
It seems as soon as the new subject is announced there are already quite a lot of pictures, then more are gradually added. When there are entries of over 200, wow, a lot to look through to vote.
How many I wonder go through all 200 plus images to vote or are the pictures that are in say the first 50 or so likely to get more votes because they are seen more?
Just wondering.
I do enjoy the contest as it gives me something to think about with my camera.

I go through all of them. Truthfully, there are always some pretty spectacular photos and I like to look and see how I would have taken the same shot. I think I end up learning something when I take the time to do that.
I do the same thing! Yes there is always something to learn and see what others have provided for our enjoyment!

I try to look at them everyday. When it comes time to vote, I review the stand out photos. Looking at 200+ photos at one time is very time consuming.
I am entering about one out of three contests, and I quickly found out that final voting seems to be mostly based on the quality of the foto, not the position. Must be a lot of voters like me who look through the new entries often and form opinions, then look for the ones they liked when it's time to vote.
I try to go through them prior to voting day. Then, when it comes time to vote, I start on the other end and work my way forward. That way I don't miss anyone's work.
Try to score them on a 1 to 10 or something then go back over the top scores.

I too enjoy the contest, though I do not enter as often as I would like. When I do vote, I look at every photo, but it does take a little time. I go through looking at each one and then voting for the one or ones that I really like.
I usually don't post in the contests and I don't always vote.
I do look at the entries almost every day to take it in smaller bites.
I do not click on all 200 to see larger versions, so in my case, the tiny thumbnail has to grab my attention or at least arouse my curiosity or I won't even open it.
I love going thru the entries so that I can try to see how each photographer may have come up with his/her view of the subject. Each photo is interesting and I do learn from them. Thus I do go through all photos

I go through them all . And vote one whole for the one I think will not get
A vote or partial vote . But it usually gets two votes mine and the takers . A few times it only had my one vote . Pulled it of the bottom to the
Middle in Some cases . This last it pulled it up 1.05 and the talkers vote brought it to 2.05 . if the taker and I didn't vote it would have got .05 . It is a way to sharpen your photo eye .
