Oh darn, he's back. Maybe it was his twin that was curled up against my hip, all nice and cozy, asleep, on my couch. I didn't know he was there til I started to get up. I've had 4 in my house. All have been around 5 1/2 feet long. I think mine were chicken snakes. I hate for yours to be lonesome. If I get another one, I'll send it to keep him company!

I actually don't mind them, but I don't think I would want to curl up with them. Thanks for looking.

I didn't want to either. When I saw him, I sat real still and called my granddaughter to come and look. Scared her half to death. I eased up and got my son to get him and put him outside. OUTSIDE is where I want them to be!
PS: Nice shots anyway!!!

I live out in the sticks in a house that is a converted hunting camp, dirt floor cellar kind of place, so "things" come and go wtihout too much trouble. I don't really mind, they are harmless.

Thanks to all for the comments.

Very purdy snake. I love photographing reptiles. I saw an article a while back for photographing poisonous snakes, wherein one uses his tripod horizontally with a cable release. There were some cool captures of snakes poised to strike, or in the process of striking.
