PC FIX SPEED

Hello all,
This is something that has managed to get into my computer. Everytime I turn it on this PC FIX SPEED comes up telling me how many errors are in my computer and that I need to hit the button to fix them. I have not done that because I have no idea where this came from or what it will do to my computer. I called the customer support line and was passed to a gentleman in Mumbai. I told him I did not want the program and wanted it gne from my computer. He told me that he could transfer me to customer service but it would cost me to get rid of this! I asked him why should I pay for something I did not want in the first place, he hung up on me! So does anyone have a clue where this came from? Do I need it, if I accept it it I am sure it will cost $$ can I get it to go away. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Wendy

The alternative is to do a system restore from a time before you had the problem.

It is spam, go to Programs and Features in Control Panel,
look for Fix PC in the programs listed, uninstall it. If that
doesn't work, download Malware Bytes (free) and run it, it
should get rid of all your spam. There is probably nothing
wrong with your computer, companies like that are like
vultures preying on people, hoping they call that number
so they can make money off of you for doing nothing.

If you know when this program got installed, you can do a "system restore" using a point before this pest program began. Also install a good antispam program and in the future read carefully any install instructions for programs that try to add additional features or change your registry.
