Birds of Pray on the hunt.

yesterday I noticed a duck floating along with the ice on the river in front of my house. I noticed it was wounded and could fly or even walk. It was alive. I had no way of reaching it. (no pictures to ruin anyone's day.) But!!! as there are many birds of pray in my area, I knew the duck would attract attention. I hooked up my telephoto lens and went outside to wait. Since we are having such an unseasonably warm Winter the wait was short but comfortable.
Soon, as I expected, 3 locals started circling in the sky above me.
The camera, Canon 7d, the lens Sigma 150-500 f5.6-6.3 mounted on a manfroto monopod.
I hope you find them enjoyable.

Enjoy seeing the birds of prey circling overhead. I am sure the injured duck was not enjoying the sight. Nice photos.

Shadow1284, Realy nice captures. I have the same lens on a 60D and really like it. There has been many postings on this lens asking if it's any good, etc. I think your photos shows it's a great lens which is made by Sigma.
