Winter Time Food Pictures...
My question is, During winter why is food a main subject of many pictures? The reason I ask is on 365project.org of the 21 people I follow 8 of them posted picutres of food today. That is one third, thirty-three percent of the posts. So far in January I have only post 6 pictures of food of the 27 posted, so far. I am also guilty of taking pictures of food when the weather is not cooperating. Do we eat more in winter? What is the reason(s) for food being a popular winter pciture subject?

It could be because we eat more in winter. It could also be that we are stuck in the house more in the winter and household objects don't appeal as much for taking photos as food does. It could also be because they are looking at the food as a work of art. Taking hours to prep and cook something and then trying to make it look just right when it is plated to eat. I think that makes it a work of art. And taking a picture is another way to show off the art created, especially since it may not stick around a long time for others to see.
I will also add this question, Do you also take more pictures of food in the winter than other times of the year?

Nope. The only time I've ever taken a picture of food is at Thanksgiving. I usually get the whole table setting with the turkey as the centerpiece.
