#2, color captures the beauty and grace of a big cat sleeping. B&W, IMHO, would be better for an animal standing or in motion.

Ahhhhhhh! My very favorite cat. Their natural coloration is so beautiful I prefer the color version. Thanks for sharing these magnificent animals with us.

Let's make it unanimous--color all the way. The subtle coloration of their coats is what makes them so unusual and beautiful. You lose that subtlety with monochrome.
