This in my opinion states it all do we the people win in the final count, forget the party system vote for who you like the best, do not take a reporters word try and watch the speeches and listen to what the person has to say through their own writing and speaking not someone elses. You and I need to do the legwork on these folks forget what points dateline or your favorite talk show host says they are paid to stir the pot. America needs to learn to climb out of this hole on our own as the elected folks do not care about us, just what they can put in their pocket.

Right on. Best post of the day in my opinion. The instant Media of the day allows any Pundit to spread his trash without checks and balances. The problem is that most folks only hear what they want to hear, and believe any and all that supports their wants or needs. A News program should be a News program not an Opinion program. The media shapes public opinion to the point that it interferes with our Govt, and our ability to elect responsible Leaders. In example, I recall the News turning an opponents stand on Abortion into a loss. Abortion was and is not the prime reason to elect any candidate.

First D.C. has to learn the meaning of compromise, Terry. I know what you're saying.

Compromise from all sides, the way it was meant to be.

exactly and by all sides in an effort to serve us the people not themselves, (a pipe dream I know, but nice to dream it may happen).

I doubt being tagged a Democrat or Republican would be the qualifier that “you love or dislike your country. It is unfortunate that you apparently get your information from the yellow journalism publications in the United States. After all, you must remember that printing misinformation or direct lies is not illegal and some of the techniques may include exaggerations of news events, scandal-mongering, or sensationalism. By extension, the term yellow journalism is used today as a pejorative to decry any journalism that treats news in an unprofessional or unethical fashion.

Sir, I accept your challenge to find a democrat that loves his country, just one. I invite you to any US Army base and you will be given the opportunity to tell these Democrat solders the do not love their countries. You may not like what you here or get. I even imagine the Republican solders in one way or another will provide some insight for you.

Don’t bother to answer this post, as what you write would more than likely insulting, after all, I am one of those democratic solders that protect your freedoms and loves his country.
