I constantly receive requests for new forum sections. In order to keep the core forum simple while allowing for more sections I've implemented user-managed sections.

You can read the description here:

http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-1-1.html#305265

If you have an idea for a section that you would like to manage, please send me a PM and I'll see about setting it up.

Based on my experience at another forum, a political discussion section might not be the best idea.

Discussions got heated to the point of name-calling, and many people left the forum as a result.

Sounds like an interesting idea. Let's see what happens.

I can only picture how upset some would get, discussions get heated enough here just talking about post processing vs. no PP at all.

On the Android and iPad forums, we have a politics section and an off topic section. Lots of activity and usually, things go from bad to worse and a moderator steps in and closes threads.

I agree with the others. We already fight among each other without a section like this. (We need a "let's all get along" section. lol).

Who suggested a "Political Discussion" section? Lets not get ahead of ourselves. I doubt if Admin is planning anything more than photographic related forums.

You are right but so many people are wrong. I hate those inflexable people too. You know the ones from the other party. Thay are so far of base they should shut up and never be heard. See what I mean.

I agree. Neither politics and/or religion belong on a public forum.

I agree with these! This is a photography forum, let's keep it that way. If they want to add something that is not about photography let them go out on the net and find what they are looking for. There a plenty out there. Lets keep it about the camera and how to get better!! And how we can help others get better, with their cameras !!

What happened to choices? How about ignoring the topic(s) you do not like? I cannot possibly read them all as it is and that is being retired and living alone. What is wrong with other people’s opinions even if you do not agree? Don’t like it don’t answer. There ...now you made me do it.

Why do you fascists thank that a political discussion column would degenerate into name calling? : )
