I like the second one the best. The colors are great and well balanced.

beegal, it sure is fun photographing grandkids, I'm having fun with mine. I like the lighting in the second one. If you don't have a good external flash unit, you may want to get one. It will eliminate most of the unwanted shadows if used properly. It will also reduce the red-eye too if deflected off the ceiling and/or using a diffuser. I use the Speedlight SB600 and I see a big difference in my shots. Good luck and keep on taking pictures of those handsome young men.... Freddie

The SB400 is a nice flash unit to start with. It is small and works well. Look on Craigslist for an SB600. They are more versitile and can be bought used for the price of a new SB400, about $125. They work great with the Nikon Digital cameras. Of course, there are others, but I have not used them.

Hi Sinatra, I am fine, thanks for asking. Yes that was me with the F4. It is the F4S with the big battery pack. I ran a roll of film through it, the pictures are great! The lens I got was an old Vivitar 28mm F2.5. Manual focus, but works OK. I have been on vacation in upstate NY, Lk. George, Lk Placid, etc. Left the heat for a week. Took 2 cameras and took a couple hundred pix. I posted a few here today labeled "Calm". I had no internet up there, so went without.
