Feeding babies

I put out a feeder last week end and have attracted some birds. I believe they are sparrows but are still fun to watch. This adult was taking seeds from the feeder and feeding the two little ones. Kind of cool here today so they are all puffed up.

That is a very nice series. Did you notice the other bird in the notch of the tree? Perhaps the other adult, but looks bigger.

I have house sparrows in my yard too. I love watching them, but the parents really let me know they don't want me in the yard. I love your photos as my never go out on the limb. Somehow, they just fly from the birdhouse to the air. One year we had a set of three in the house. There was one who was always sticking his head out for food. I called it 'King Tut' as he was really, really huge. My neighbor came over, stuck his head in front of the birdhouse and King Tut flew away. The parents came back to the birdhouse and they just kept looking and looking for their big baby. It was fun to watch.
