Does anyone have a Nikon D70 for sale..I asked the dealer what the trade in value was and he said 150.00 Good grief, I paid over a thousand dollars for it and a 70 to 210 lens in 2006
I sold one two years ago for $200.00 and turned around and cried.
I supppose I will keep mine and buy another one if I can, I have a Nikon 2020 I purchased in 1985 and it is still perfect..I have always bought a Nikon and I think you could run a truck over them and they would survive...
No one is getting my D70. I converted it to an IR dedicated camera and have another career just shooting IR exclusively with it. Good buy to shooting blind with the IR filter on my D7000. I have a great Hoya IR filter for sale.

keh hassome fairly cheap 150-400 if i remember right. also shoot the d70s
I love my D70,and don't see any reason as of yet to upgrade.
Forget trade in values....my D80 is valued at$200-$225. If I were to upgrade, I'd keep D80. Am encouraged with the loyalty to the older Nikons...;.count me in!!
I have a very nice D70s body for sale. I think it has 9,000 clicks but will have to check. I have been asking $300 for it but have only had one offer of $200 and won't take that. Looking for a wide angle or maybe something else for trade.

The rule for all technology: don't blink. Years ago I had a $6,000 Mamiya medium format camera w/full load; one lens was nearly $1,500. Saw the digital revolution coming and the future hit me. I unloaded the entire mix at a huge loss. At the time, a 20-exp roll of film cost about $22.00 just to develop/print! Learned my lesson. I know that whatever I pay for anything is generally a sunk cost. Unfortunately, we become mated with a product and can never see recovering anything less than what we paid. Might as well own a pawn shop; at least then you have a place to unload your gear.
cannot imagine any dealer ofering me 150.00 for something I paid over a thousand dollars for...That is beyond a slap in the face.... however I would rather someone sell me one rather than letting a dealer have it.....The camera industry is looking more like the car dealers everyday.....they just want your money...

You can have my D70 with D70s software update with the original box and all the paperwork, battery and charger for $250 no lens. I bought it about a month before the D200 came out, so hardly used it and bought the D200.
Sold D200 and bought the D300 and then bought the D7000. So the D70 was kept for nostalgic reasons and is in excellent condition. If interested get back to me, otherwise, like others, I'd rather just keep it and look at it than sell it too cheaply.

thats actually a good deal. I bought my d-100 body only for 169.00 and thats older than the d-70. you want to cry? look at the prices for film cameras. 5 years ago i bought a used N-90 from adorama in ug condition for $90.00 and thought that was a good deal. the n-90 was second only to the f-4 in nikons lineup and was a near 1k camera. a month ago i bought from Keh.com a n-90s in rated in bgn condition cause the back was sticky for 10 bucks. a little goo gone and it is a like new camera. the reality is camera equip especially bodies value drops like a rock unless its a collectable like lecia or hassaenblad. If you dont take lucian's offer look at keh.com best prices free 6 month warranty. not affiliated just head of their fan club.
