I understand your reasoning but beg to differ with a couple of exceptions. In my opinion, I don't think that it is any business of a doctor to know what I have in my house. Who knows where this information will be used by anti 2nd amendment nuts now or in the future. The exceptions, if you are indeed treating a suicidal patient or where domestic violence is involved which is more of a police matter than a doctor's.

Well stated bcheary, and spot on. Thank you!

Why not ask the doctor:

Where do you live?
How much money do you make?
Do you cheat on your spouse?
How many guns do you own?
When you graduated med school, what was your standing in class?

REMEMBER, BO wants and is getting all your medical records in a national bata base.

Why can't you ask you're dr. if he/she served time in prison?
Has the DR. ever filed for bankruptcy?

99.9% of DR.s wouldn't answer these questions or just tell you it's none of you business!

More than likely the Dr. won't answer any of those questions and be a little upset.

If so, think twice before you use that DR. again.

Why not ask the doctor: br br Where do you live? ... (show quote)

Great post, and don't think the doctors would answer personal questions such as those, and I refuse to answer any questions not related to my medical/health care.

Hey, I know what you are saying but doubt that I want to piss off the guy with the needles and the scalpel. I'm good enough on my feet to know what kind of answers to avoid and what ones I can give. I like this guy because he seems thorough when dealing with medical issues.

I am getting tired of government choosing its priorities based on political agendas. On January 15, 2014, I lost my son Nicholas to a heroin overdose. I would venture to say a lot more of our children are dying of drug overdoses than those being lost to gun assaults.
I am not trying to quantify these atrocities, what I am trying to do is put them in perspective. Why is it that despite the billions spent on law enforcement, my son and every other kid in the town I live, can score drugs but the authorities have no clue?
We went after terrorists because they attacked our country, these same terrorists are attacking the future of our country and all the democrats want to do is take our guns away from us.
I think we had better get our priorities straight.
