okay, we all have photo's were proud of, and I would like to open a thread that is not for critique, but for just showing your best/favorite shot.
Please give a little tale with them, and why you find them so special.
I'll start.
1).Trip to Alaska, people looked at me like I was wried for taking a picture of a weed.
2). My husband thought I was going nuts taking a picture of a small skiff.
3). This is hard, I just show one, and maybe show more later.
Everyone, no limit on your pictures, just share.....and a very happy New Years to everyone.

Come to me my children ... love it
Well, the most recent was on Christmas day, my partner and his two sons were "allowing" me to take their photo, and the oldest son decided to "undermine" his brother! It's the "innocent" look on his face that I LOVE, AND the "wacky" look on his brother's face, too! Priceless! :O)
Also, their cousin, who is a beautiful young lady, wanted me to take her picture, and this is what she gave me! THOSE EYES!!!! Wow!!!! :O)

Those EYES!
pretty impressive eagle close-up... how'd you manage that one?
looks like a P-51 in the last shot?
My best photo has yet to be taken and hopefully will never be taken because when that day comes there is no longer any reason to keep striving to improve.
The following 2 photographs were taken Christmas morning. The light had not come over the mountain yet but the sky and clouds reflected on some ice. I was experimenting with manual exposure and ISO ratings. The camera was Nikon D3100 the lens was Nikkor 70-200.
