How are you spending Christmas day?

I love to hear how others are spending the day (or evening). Maybe we could pass on a new tradition or two!

We will be on the mountain snowboarding, hopefully until our legs fall off. Return to the cabin for an après-ride hot drink. Nap on the sofa...wake up and enjoy a hearty family dinner. How about you?

Hi. Well 3 years ago my wife divorced me. My kids are grown and doing their thing. This year is my third year working at the men's mission helping prepare and serve meals for others less fortunate than I.

I will be working then having our family dinner and gifting afterwards. I work at a home for the developmentally disabled. Our other ladies from church will be cooking and serving a Chriswtmas dinner for anyone who shows up.

I started my day waking up at 8 so that I could get the ham going, take my shower and have my "alone time" before the crew woke up.The kids (3 teenagers) woke up at 9:30 then opened their gifts. Got that all cleaned up and I got the Turkey going, helped the kids get their new TV's set up then welcomed my daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter (20 months). We watched them open their gifts (Allie was so much fun this year), then I finished getting the dinner ready. My father-in-law arrived at 2:00 and we were eating by 2:30. Sat around the table enjoying everyone's chit chat and watching Allie play with all of her new toys. After everyone left I took a well needed 2 1/2 hour nap and now just sitting back and enjoying UHH! Merry Christmas to you all!

Spent it laying on my back on Delrey Beach, watching kites fly. Totally forgot it was Christmas.

2:17 a.m. December 26... finally finished, more or less, cleaning up from a kitchen devastating American-Italian Christmas food fest. Three jam packed loads through the dishwasher, and a bunch of hand washing...

That said, BOY, was it delicious. Took three days to cook and bake it all from scratch. We had SIX dessert choices...

Didn't even THINK to shoot a frame of it. Oh well...

I worked at the hospital so those with kids could be home. Mine are fully grown. I'll see the grandchildren in a few days.

Hope you wear helmets. Don't want to see you or anyone else in the ED.

I realize this is an old post that got popped back up but anyways, my hat is off to you sir.

And as to you situation, I'd just like to say in a non gay way, you look like you'd be a great catch for any deserving lady.

Thank you for you comments. I volunteer several days a week at the Mission office, doing whatever needs done and on holidays I help prepare and serve meals. As for women, I just haven't met her yet or visa versa.

Christmas

Well as both of my sons are grown up, they will be away with there friends. My wife being a nurse will be working that day (holiday pay). My friends aka people who will call when they need something, will not call me.
I will most likely go to the train club with my two dogs*, and spend the day there and maybe sleep there as well.

Nice of you to ask, you are a very nice person, and we are lucky to have a person like you hear.

Christmas;
My huband and son are the smokers in the family so we always have the holiday dinners at our house. And about 20 family members come. We all cook something and have lots of desserts. It's hard to have 20 people in a small home. Standing room only. I love it though.

It's too far away yet to decide what I'll be doing.
Maybe I'll start thinking about it next week.
