For me, 2013 was a challenging year. Work kept me busy and I don't have much landscape to photograph in Houston (and no, I don't like cityscapes, lol). So here is my shot from Fall Creek Falls State Park when I took vacation in October.

Enjoy and have a Happy New Year!

The lighting brings out the details of the falls very nicely.

What a sweet little furball,I'm glad he grew up to be healthy.

Yes he is very healthy photophile ! I keep in touch as he is very special to me. I have raised quite a lot of kittens over the years, but he was so poorly did not think he would survive :D

Not a sharp picture but my favourite of the year ! While trapping feral cats to get neutered heard a noise coming from a corner. Found this little scrap. Took this shot five days later. Fed with dropper then bottle around the clock, lots of health issues along the way, touch and go! Lots of visits to the vets He was re homed at nine weeks and is a big healthy boy :-D

If you could roll 'adorable' into a ball and make it warm and fuzzy, you'd end up with that kitten. Glad he survived with your help, and a wonderful shot, Sylvia!

Sorry can't make it just one. This is my grand daughter, 3 years old and a princess.

She's a beauty, especially with that big smile in the second shot. The first rather reminds me of the expression my cats get when they see me with the camera, lol.

Thanks for contributing!

How 'bout a thread of what you consider your best shot of the year past?

Doesn't have to be award-winning, doesn't matter if you've already posted it. I'd just like to see what folks here consider their numero unos for 2013. Here's mine.

Happy New Year to everyone, and thanks for the memories of 2013!

This is a photo of my beloved Freckles taken a few years ago with a canon power shot A570 IS , the effect was created by placing a piece of frosted scotch tape over the lens with a pin hole opening.
I lost her September 17 th of this year, she would have been 14 years old tonite so I share your loss of your precious pet.
Pete

Lovely shot of Freckles, and thanks for a new technique I'll have to try...
