I've been off the grid for awhile and have missed my fellow photographer buddies here on UHH! Here are a few offerings from our six week working vacation on Sanibel Island, FL for your enjoyment and/or critique. These are just a few of my "Swoopers", more to come.... if I survive your critiques :)
Wishing each of you a New Year blessed with health, happiness and awesome photo ops :)
(Camera: Panasonic GH3; Lens 100-300mm lens, basic processing in Aperture with a fair amount of cropping)
Brown Pelican Swooping in to claim Roseate Spoonbill territory
Sharing is not in their vocabulary
Roseate Spoonbill swooping in to join the fray
Four's definitely a crowd!
Osprey in flight
Treetop Pelicans
Not all the flying wildlife in Sanibel has feathers! Could this be Brent Harder?!!

Thanks Linda! I welcome critique too :) It's great to be back on UHH - I'm less enthusiastic about being back in Maine with single digets, ice and snow - I think I hear Sanibel calling again...

Yeah, I didn't want to comment on that part :) I could never understand why Mainiacs went to Florida in mid-winter, only to come home to so many more weeks of misery. I would have gone in April - LOL

I agree, extremes used to be fun... now we are desperately working on a long range plan  - heading south again Tuesday :)

Thank you Jim! I've missed YOUR birds!
Excellent and fun shots, Kerry. Nice action grab on the windsurfer, tho I think Brent mostly hangs on the left coast.
Happy New Year to you, too, and thanks for all your helpful suggestions throughout this past year!

Very nice set.
Many thanks, Ebrunner for taking a peek and enjoying them :)
Thank you, my friend :)! Let's make a deal for 2014 - you publish and market your magnificent stories as ebooks, and I'll learn Photoshop :)
