I didn't know that Steve. I always thought it was another way of leaving Christ out of Christmas,

It isn't Christmas for me until I watch Charlie Brown's Christmas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. My Dad was able to carry the Christmas spirit with him the whole year. Strange to hear him say "HO, HO, HO have a glorious day that Christ made for us" in August or March.

BTW, I see from your bio that you studied for the Ministry. Were you ever a minister?

I missed CB this year. You just reminded me I wanted to download it so I can have it when I want. I have included a new one on my list over the past 3-4 years, Family Man with Nick Cage and Scrroged with Bill Murry.

This family wishes you and all your families a Very Happy Christmas. Please light a candle for all those far from home. And spread the love in your heart to those in need. :D

I think we have forgotten the meaning. The media makes this event into a circus with a lot of pressure.

Thank you Charles Schulz....it's not the tinsel, the tree, or what we put under the tree. It's because of the birth of Christ, for whom we celebrate with bright lights, giving gifts out of love, and gathering with loved ones and friends.

A GREAT B-I-G AMEN!!! and a M-E-R-R-Y C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S to you and ALL of UHH!

Guess it depends on what Christmas means to you. No one is dragging religion into it. Celebrate Christmas your own way.

I find it amusing that all calendar mark Dec 25 as Christmas Day. You can find in the legends (when they have them)Holidays! Under this is Christmas Day Dec 25. It is not marked holiday, but as one of them! So when you say Happy Holidays, do you mean 4th of July or Memorial Day or what one in particular?

If this is so repulsive to you, why do you accept the day off as a gift, especially since most get a paid for this day off.

I know, why don't you show your protest and work thus allowing those who do accept this day as it was intended; and refuse the Christmas bonus because of your moral ethics. Oh, can't do that - you would be supporting their religion beliefs by having them celebrate Christmas! So as not to do this; you intend to go against your moral code and get a gift for the day. After all its only free money. Isn't that hypocrisy. You accept the gift, but bellow about the religious innuendo there and about the day itself.

Merry Christmas to one and all - even those that get offended by this statement.

If you want to take Christ out of Christmas, why bother with the greeting. Use Happy Holidays like others who think it's politically correct.

Soon it'll be " Praise be to Allah" or "God is Great!"

Wellhiem....Is that supposed to be a funny? Let's see....Christmas, the day set aside aside to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ....and we're supposed to keep religion out of it....sleep on it....it'll come to ya.

...SteveR, I'm pretty sure he was joking

or

making an ironic comment, how in today's world the meaning of Christmas has lost practically all religious significance to the vast majority of Americans ... and become a mass bacchanalian orgy of consummerism?
