Nguyen,
There are people here that will tell you to buy what they are using. If you asked me, I'd say the Nikon 7100, a Canon user will tell you to buy that brand, ect.
YOU are the only one who will determine which one your going to use, depending on the use YOU intend to use it.
Chances are he wants an relatively inexpensive point and shoot.
You need to do some research on your own. Seems if you are asking this type of question then your knowledge of photography is quite limited.
In doing your research you will learn terms that you are probably not familiar with but will, once you start to understand them, help you decide what you want.
If this doesn't interest you then you might be happy with a point and shoot ..... which isn't to say that point and shoots are a bad option. I've been shooting with them for quite awhile, but sometimes you just want to evolve to another level. Maybe you aren't ready for that.
Remember, it is the person behind the camera who decides what to photograph and how to compose it. Pretty interesting photos have come from pretty simple cameras.

It depends on what you would use it for.
I first would ask, digital or film?
(I keed, I keed).
What's your budget and what do you mainly want to shoot... sports, landscapes, macro stuff, is low-light performance critical, etc.?

Silvers, chances are better he's a troll. Or he'd be back by now.

Nguyen welcome to the forum. You have a lot of choices. Try to hold as many as possible, research the ones you like and finally decide which ones do what you want them to do. It is going to be a bit of a chore but it will also be fun and exciting.
2nd page of the OP's thread and where is he?
Another opinion. Decision 1, price range you feel you want to pay, that will limit you to 1 or 2 from each maker. The number 2 decision is what do you want to put into a lens other that the usual kit zoom, which in fact is usually pretty good, this choice is usually based on what you are likely to photograph, for myself it is some people and a lot of landscape or buildings. After you work through number 2, would be to visit a couple stores and talk to the folks that work there and perhaps another customer, pick them up and feel them and the location of the controls, some will seem logical some will seem odd, even on a single camera a couple buttons my seem in the wrong place, but are those important to you. Number 3, go read some of the reviews on the 2 or 3 you liked the feel of. Number 4 is going to be the fun task, shopping, new Vs. factory refurbished, and do you want or need the latest or would the one being phased out do for you. Some makers have changed the lens mounting in recent years, others have not. I can't advise you which to choose, you might want a Chevy over a Ford and then there is the radio and other options to choose from. Not like Mr. Ford who is supposed to have said you can have my Model T in any color you like so long as it is black, times have changed. This is not an easy choice if you have a budget to live within and you would keep the same camera for several years. Don't get in a hurry it could be a fun adventure making a good choice, and the right one for you. Along the way you will discover what is important to you. And ask the next 25 people you see making photographs. A word of caution, don't ask about tripods or heads here, you will get enough opinions just asking about cameras.
You asked which is the better camera. They are all good. If you have any previously purchased lenses from other cameras you have owned, then I would stay with that brand. I chose Nikon because my brothers have Canon and we like to argue about whose is best. There are no winners.
One that you will feel comfortable to use. Technical specifications at ever increasing levels are of no use if you don't enjoy or want to use them. Get going and enjoy your photography.

The Pro's use Nikons I use Canon those are the only two I would consider But to me the Canon is more affordable than the nikon. I have a Canon Rebal T-3 High speed camera I happen to like it very much.

The quality of a camera is often decided by the photographer. One likes certain features and another like others. For any one to say one camera is better than another is diffucult.

According to an article on MSN News Olympus is going out of business
Charmin or White Cloud?
Whichever one that you feel the most comfortable with that fits your budget.
