Out of curiosity, how many UUHers attended Scott Kelby's live training yesterday in San Diego. I did and was most impressed.

I'm impressed by Scott but live in Michigan. I've attended previous Lightroom presentations that were great.

I've been to Light It, Shoot It, Retouch It with Scott and was really impressed with both his knowledge AND his presentation style.

I've also seen Joe McNally a couple of times, and RC Concepcion just recently.

I've always walked away thinking I got more than my money's worth.

On the other hand, I went to the first stop of JB Salee's solo tour a few years ago, and felt I'd been robbed.

I agree about the Salee observation. Saw them at the PPA convention and thought is was 90 minutes of them telling everyone how great they are. No real take-away.

I went to the "Shoot Like a Pro" in Boston at the end of October. Loved it. Very useful.

I was there with my sister. we had a good time. I was under the impression it would be more advanced then it turned out to be. He did teach us a couple things to improve HDR in post. It was fun hanging out with all those photography nut like us. I talked to a guy that said he was a UHH member was that you?

If that's you pointing your finger above my empty seat, I would have to say yes, that was me. I thought it would be more advanced as well but was impressed with his delivery and the way he dealt with both simple and complex information. I had a great time and learned some things that will simplify my shooting and processing. I am one of those that he mentioned who has a tendency to overthink.

I was the guy 2 seats down. I suggested to that guy that he check out UHH for a great group of knowledgeable photographers who would answer his questions And the man in front of me said he read the UHH blog. Was that you? You look familiar.

AAHH to live in a place where access to the pros is available, even if only occasionally.

fotowerks ....I have been a member of NAPP for several years and when I upgrade a software program such as Lightroom or PSE I usually purchase a Scott Kelby book to use an a guide to understand the new "stuff"...!!!!

So when a Kelby Training comes to town I try to be there. I just attended a seminar in October on Lightroom Facilitated by Matt Kloskowski and it was outstanding....I learn faster if it is a hands on session but this was great...everyone that I spoke with at breaks and after the class felt the same way ....and for $79.00 ...NAPP Member discount ...it was well worth it....
