I am enjoying this forum very much. Learning how to use my new Canon T3 on auto ( WILL BE TAKING CLASSES ). This was taken with 18-55mm lens. Also have EF 35-80mm zoom, EF 75-300mm zoom and Tamron AF 19-35mm. I have a LOT to learn and the desire to do so.

wonderful crisp details, nice click. just a little cleaner in the composition to grab subject focus.
those highlights in the background pull the viewers focus, even though you are looking at the grasshopper, the mind is looking for details in those highlights.

Like the framing, detail, and colors - and yes I too noticed the backgrounds They can be a real trouble spot, maybe more so in close ups and macro. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments and advice. I can see what you mean but I don't yet have the skills to edit . I repeat, "I have a LOT to learn".

I'm new at this but my understanding is , click on browse, double click on picture, DO NOT CLICK PREVIEW,CLICK SEND, THEN GIVE IT TIME TO UPLOAD.This worked for me.Good luck.

I am so glad there are others out there taking pictures of grasshoppers. My husband thinks I get alittle crazy with the camera. This one was climbing up my french door. I couldn't resist some shots that looked like the grasshopper was flying through the sky
