Genuine vs. Counterfeit batteries

I use a Nikon D7000 and order extra batteries from China on ebay. I match the 1900mAH rate (mil amps per hour) and the savings is soooo great. If your battery died three times, you still came out ahead because it cost so much less. That isn't the case though. Both factory and imports fail and that my be due to varied reasons. By getting them at a greatly reduced price, with no tax, and free shipping, it makes sense to buy a couple of extras. They don't take up much space in a camera bag or lens case. And so far, they both seem to be lasting the same.

A set of photographs clear of flare/reflection from the battery surface , would have been a good starting point to this thread. I have used a number of Nikon supplied, and equivalent other makers batteries, and found no fault with either. Apart from one in a batch of three purchased from a warehouse supplier. One battery would only re-charge up to 80%, and it was replaced no quibble. I'm using EN EL3 and Fuji NP 150 for different cameras.
