these are some pictures i took last night. The trees are illuminated with the (almost) full moon. The camera is a Canon 7D with a 28mm-135mm zoom at 28mm, f/3.5, with exposure around a minute, and ISO 400. In the first two pictures, I was focusing at infinity, while the last I tried to get a focus on the trees themselves.

Iosa,

I am always captivated by Aurora photos, my only suggestion would be more Aurora, less trees. I can see trees out my window, I have yet to see an Aurora in person.

Just my opinion,

Eric

I'm easily confused... Did you take these photos during the day? I have been waiting all my life to witness this event and I do look for it but no luck. Nice shots.

Sorry, I now read your post... duh. Wow. I was so taken with the shots I didn't read what you wrote. 8)
