I shoot solo.
And if I were out for a walk, the last people I want to spend it with are photographers!!
Go for it Annie.

I was out at the marsh this morning and there was a butt load of photographers that all seemed to be part of some group. When we inquired they indicated they were taking part in that photo walk thing.

It's OK though, they will all be gone later and we will have our marsh back. :-)

After St3v3 put up the photo walk contest, I looked into it. Two organized walks close to me. One was an inconvenient time and the other is full and had a waiting list. I thought about just showing up and shooting snaps of the photogs, but decided that would be a little creepy, like stalking the stalkers. :) So, no I'm not going.

I'm always willing to try something new. Most near me are on the coast. There are a lot of "Meet Ups" over there and may give it a shot, no pun intended!

I walked in Annapolis Maryland with a Kelby group. Once the group started out you could be pretty much alone. Here are some of my shots: http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-152964-1.html

I signed up and did two walks;
- one in the AM with a group whose interests were totally different from mine and
- one in the PM by myself. Unfortunately the tourist kept asking me to take their picture (LOL).

Those two photowalks were in Ybor City, Tampa, FL. Urban areas; the buildings, the signs, the people, etc, didn't interest me.

AM walk I enjoyed
- the loose fowls
- the shrubbery and
- the group lunch afterwards in the restaurant.

PM walk I especially enjoyed
- the hen which kept following the rooster
- the downtown skyline and
- the brilliant cloud formations

If I ever do it again, I'll do it by myself out in the country side with nature and the animals.

Unfortunately in order to participate in a photowalk one has to sign up with a group. I guess I won't be doing it again next year :?:

you could always lead a walk and set the time and location that you would like to photograph.
