These are some shots taken in the Finger Lakes region of NY state. I hope to get some more when the leaves are a little further changed. It's tough sometimes to get long exposures when the wind's moving leaves, but I prefer the look normally to short exposure, freeze action.

Nice shots. We're planning a trip up to that neck of the woods later this month perhaps. Hope to get something 1/3rd as nice as yours.

Love the way you slowed (froze) the water. I think these are just so pretty.

The first shot was F22, 100 ISO, 4 second exposure, late in the day in October.
The second shot was F22, 100 ISO, 2 second exposure, also late in the day, same date.

Both of them are great shots. Could you do something about the log in the second one?

Thanks for the compliment! As for doing something about the log, I'm waiting to go back this fall and hopefully mother nature will have moved it for me :)

Where I live in Central New York State, most residents bitch about our "terrible " weather, particularly winter which can be tough { from 10'-30'+ snowfall per season}, but we are surrounded by some of the most varied, scenic, landscapes anywhere in the US. We might not have the spectacular Rocky Mountains, Oceans, etc. but I can literally walk from my house to over 10 waterfalls including one on my own property, { shown here in both an artistic variation and in it's more natural form}, in minutes drive to 3 ski slopes, also within minutes be on a multitude of lakes, and the 4 seasons offer an ever changing view of nature. I feel blessed to be here with a wife that shares my love of the area and a large family living nearby. Now, if only we could do something about those property tax bills.................!

Damn, You're pretty strong. I figure that log had to weigh 300-400 lbs at least!
