Neat foot bridge.. what do you think?
This is in a state supported park that is now closed and no longer used. The bridge isn't super old but old enough to have a rather rustic look with moss on it. Took only 3 shots of it and this is the best of the 3. The others were darker. I've made some minor adjustments in photoshop. Let me know what you think.
Fall Creek Foot Bridge
I don't know.. now that I'm looking at it I think I like the original better. It's smoother.. softer.
The original
Bump. (Moving it to the top of the list since it seems to have gotten lost.)
It is something I would have taken a picture of because I like photographing bridges and old barns. Of the two photos, I like the first one best, it provides some contrast in the picture. I think if anything is lacking it is a bigger element of contrast to make the bridge pop. JMHO
Go Back in the fall when the colors are more vivid..it will make all the difference.
Hmmm... ok I see your point. I'll have to experiment with it some more.
I probably will go back in the fall. :) I'm hoping the trees really turn this year. Some years they turn a little and then go brown and drop their leaves.
Just to give you example..quick to let you see potential..I am home was a broken wrist so have lots of time on my hands..lol
as you can see the colors will frame the bridge nicely..can't wait to see your "fall version"

I like the brighter one myself. it sets the mood of abandonment or perhaps lonleyness. Sugestion for going back when leaves turn is ecxcellant also. Had to leave a post. I am on post 666 and I hate that number.
Wow! That is certainly an incentive to return in the fall. :)
Here are the settings I used for the footbridge. I just found out how to retrieve them. :) f3.5, 1/30, ISO160
I have a tripod but I didn't bring it with me that day. Planned on hiking along the creek and didn't want to carry it. Perhaps I should have.
with such a low shutter..its a good idea..I hate them myself..so I will often bump up the iso on my camera.
