I really like the close-ups, especially the last one. An experienced photographer would know the answer to this, but I wonder how you got the sparkle effect. Is it caused by the flash?

Great pics! (And a locksmith would be familiar with the subject, lol)

That's processed in camera before down load in my
trusty Nikon D3100. It's been one year of digital now
and believe me a turning point in the work I can do. Bv

The sparkle is processed in your camera? Can you tell me how you make it do that? You know instructions for "dummys". Thanks. I really like the effect.

William...You've got some really cool pics composition wise but watch out for the over processing..some things work and some things don't... in my opinion that is.

I would recommend getting a star-filter instead of PP - here's an example:

http://www.amazon.com/Tiffen-58mm-6-Point-Star-Filter/dp/B00004ZCDV/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1323933926&sr=1-5

Manufacturers typically make 4, 6 & 8 point stars, and you can stack them for even more points.
