I just wanted to get a critique of this picture. It seems to be almost what I was trying to get but not quite.

The composition is very good. Exposure can be improved using HDR, i.e. shooting multiple exposures (minimum of 3) and merging them to single photo.

my pentax 645d offers two three shot levels of hdr in-camera.
useing auto bracketing i can shoot five shots with wider range, in this mode i have to use a merge editor.i have two and as i get familiar with them they work well.
my sony a550 does two shot in-camera hdr.

I really like the movement and composition of the shot. I'm not quite sure of the exposure since I would probably try a levels adjustment just to see if that improves the image. Still, I don't want to be picky as it is a lovely shot.

This may not be a good candidate for HDR because of the movement in the scene. That low light situation would cause too much difference between frames with the slow shutter speeds required. IMHO

I agree, it may not be a good candicate for HDR because of the movements in the picture. Others were successful in using just one shot and separating into several exposures and then combining into one. This technique is more applicable if the shot was done in RAW.

You can probably improve it with the shadows and highlights adjustment.

I don't have any post inmage editing software except what comes with the camera. As I am new to all of this it will take some learning. The settings I used were in manual mode.
1/100 sec
F/5.6
ISO 100
55 mm
