Wanted: Republican Opinions

I am curious as to how the many Republican members in this forum feel about Mike Enzi and Liz Cheney. Do you think that Cheney, even if she is new to Wyoming, has a good chance against Sen Enzi ? What does her running against Enzi signify about what is happening inside the Republican Party ?

Even if I disagree with most of what she says, I think she is a very good speaker. She doesn't come off as an ignorant twit the way Michele Bachmann (hope I am spelling her last name correctly) does.

Does anyone here think she has a chance of defeating Sen.Enzi ?

I don't know much about Senator Enzi or Wyoming politics, I do however like Liz Cheney, I don't always agree with her especially on foreign policy and the application of military forces. But I find her to represent conservative values, I think that she is very direct and articulate and does not dance around issues, if you don't want to know what she really thinks, then you should probably not ask the question. So few politicians are like this these days.

Much of what you say about her fits the impression I have had of her. I think she would be a formidable opponent. I am wondering if the people of Wyoming will buy into having her represent them, or if they will view her as an interloper.

I don't know Mike Enzi but I know a little about Liz Cheney. I also like what I have heard and especially like her frankness. While I know nothing of Wyoming politics, I still think she will win in my gut.

Like father, like daughter.

She won't make it, and I'm damn glad!

I think she would make a very formidable opponent if it were just a matter of how well or poorly she speaks and debates. She doesn't come off as a crazy -- just as a Republican.

What you say is true, but the name will become a drag.

Same with Jeb Bush...the name.
