Anyone know of, or belong to a nice camera club in southern Nassau county, NY?

What are you looking for? A club with set meeting dates and monthly competitions or people to go shooting with?

There's the Wantagh Camera Club and I think a Freeport Camera Club. More but you'd have to Google them.

There's also The Long Island Photography Meet Up. That's what I belong to and they are a wonderful group of folks from all over Long Island. There's a wide range of ability from new amature to pro but most of us are advanced hobbiests. The cameras range from simple point and shoots to full frame dslr's. We have an annual meet and greet and occassional lectures or workshops to attend. Otherwise it's a location based meet up where we go to a specific pre-arranged location anywhere from local to as far as 2 hours away.

Freeport is nearby, as is Wantagh, a little further. Glen Cove is on the North Shore, right? I'm in Pt. Lookout so that might be a little far.
