Had you read this correctly you would not have understood that I am not questioned your parenting. I am saying: You need to treat your children when photographing them as you treat them when you make their food or direct their education.
I start with 'You love your children well'
Then I followed with: 'as a photographer stop loving them and give them what is good for them' - meaning take your distance -
and ended with: 'as you do with their food or education' Meaning that regardless of their opinion they have to eat what you give, nothing else as you know what is good for them, as for the education it is an allusion to something like 'no TV until you have finished your homework' because you know what is good for them. Only a parent that care would do that.
On the photo and thread in question, I noticed that no one had the semblance of courtesy to ask you in private about what was going on. The comments to me were far worse. The SOB as you said, used gloves with the fear of offending you, I said that several time in the post.
I will now post it:

My remark is about her teeth, can you do something about it?
They are likely this way I hope she will outgrow them but in the mean time, lowering the white intensity in them may help the whole effect**.
You love your children well, as a photographer stop loving them and give them what is good for them, as you do with their food or education.

The way I see it, never mention a relationship with your model because you will never learn that way. The only thing you will get is: She is soooooo cute! Until today I have made a point of ignoring all those topics (and will -keep- passing them over, after glancing inside the topic). I have interacted with you a couple of times so I felt freer yet still very leery about sending this to you.

If I offend you, I apologize.
This is hardly the case of someone who does not care and accuses you of poor parenting, is it?
The thread has now turned because folks made the same remark w/o saying how to try to resolve it or even cared how you would feel. I tried to do both, going on PM. Took a huge risk of trust. I was wrong. Sorry.
Thread in question:
http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-13115-1.html* Keep, omitted word in the PM, added now as I realized the missing word.
** Way to mitigate the viewer attention to the teeth, not the putting down the child herself. I express the hope that this will change as she grows older.
