Maybe I'm too forward-looking in this, but it makes no sense to me that manufacturers don't bluetooth equip DSLR.
Anyhow, I'll throw this out here anyway in the (very) optimistic hope that someone's figured this out already.
1st, bluetooth invariably requires an adapter. That's a given.
2nd, most bluetooth solutions out there are aimed at using your smartphone as the remote. OK, neat, but not where I want to get to.
What I want to do (and yes, I'm aware of the wireless solutions out there, but imnsho they're seriously lame and only address a small market niche), is use the connectivity that bluetooth give me combined the power and functionality of may smartphone to get pictures off ie camera->phone->Picasa (or flickr or whatever). This isn't rocket surgery I'm talking about here, merely another way of building upon what's already out there.
Anybody made any headway in this direction who'd care to share?
thanks,
Pat
thanks. I'd looked at that but am hindered by my tool of choice being the Olympus E-series and thus no SD slot. :-(
Pinged them a while back about a CF version but no joy.
Speaking of Eye-fi...exactly what does it allow one to do? I notice my SX30 has this ability with the proper card, of course.
Ok, I just read how Eye-fi works. Answered my question.
Why not just use EyeFi? Works great.

Well, just upload to your laptop, android phone, etc, anything that is wireless, that can use or has a larger capacity card. Your smartphone with a 32GB micro SD card should hold more than enough pics, even in RAW, for a day or two's worth of shooting. If you fill it up, tho, just put in a fresh card...
