Happened to catch this cloudless sulphur as it was getting ready to rope in some necture. Not sure if the cropping is OK...Thanks, Jan

Moss rose in pink. Once again I want to know about the crop. Thanks in advance for your help. Jan

Looks very nice to me - great capture. I suppose you could get rid of some of the space inbetween your subject and the flower if you use a editing program such as Photoshop, but I'm not so sure it would be of any help. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like you added another one just as I was sending a reply. Nice picture - but I'm not sure of the reason for the white square. However, if you like - I do too.

I love the white square with the flower poking out. I think it was a great extra touch.

I too love the white line square...gives it a lovely 3-D quality...the pink flower just pops out of the square. Very pleasing to the eye! Mine anyway! Did you layer this photo and send the white line to the back? I am not very skilled in photo manipulation...

Hi Mortonfarm, Thanks for the nice comment on my photo. The white line is called a "stroke" in photoshop and is found about half way down in the edit menu. First, make a new layer which will be the top layer, (The only thing that will be on this layer is the stroke.) grab the rectangular marquee tool and create the shape you want to use. Go to edit, and choose stroke. Another menu pops up and one can choose the color and size for the stroke. After choosing, press OK. Because this layer is on top, you can erase parts of the stroke making it look like it is behind the object on the lower layer. Took me quite a while to figure out how to do this. Hope this was helpful. Thanks again for your kind reply. Jan

Hi notnoBuddha, Your picture is quite beautiful with lots of interesting details. Pretty snappy I'd say! Do you play the accordion? Used to do that myself.

Thanks for your comments on my photos. I appreciate it. The white square around the moss rose is intended as a simple frame just to dress the photo up a tad. Thanks again for replying...Jan

Thanks Mortonfarm. Don't be afraid, you should go ahead and post some photos. I am new at photography too and know how scary it can be to open one's up for who knows what. I felt the same way at first, but my experience has been that people here are kind, genuine and really do offer helpful tips and I have learned a lot already. Anyway, bet your pictures are very nice...Jan

I would like to see the photo with the top and left side still in the photo and tighten the right and bottom. I like the shot.
