Republicans in Congress have been salivating over the looming debt ceiling crisis. They were as excited as kids in a candy store, eagerly awaiting June when the debt limit would be reached and they could then once more hold the country and the rest of the world hostage to their now thoroughly discredited austerity mantra.

But, lo and behold, much to their dismay, the economy is doing well enough so that the limit won't be reached until September or October. And who knows, by then it may not happen until January or February.

So, let's see. They can't screw President Obama over the debt ceiling, they can't screw him over Benghazi. I can't wait to see what the next manufactured crisis is that they try to smear him with. Congressional Republicans are like a schoolyard bully who realizes that the kid he's picking on is smarter than he is and just humiliated him in front of the entire student body.
Republicans in Congress have been salivating over ... (show quote)

Oh, I think your next crisis has just arisen.

I notice a long silence on the part of the Republican apologists on this question.

Also have been hearing a lot today about the IRS doing some strange things with their investigations of Tea Party and Patriots names in organizations. Fortunately that only came from some low level employees and the upper level chiefs didn't know anything about it.

And Obama kept them in place for most people when he should have let them expire

There is waste - incredible waste - in government spending. It is frustrating and maddening. But no country ever budget slashed their way out of debt. Spend, spend, spend, and the economy will rebound. History tells us this.

What history books are you reading? How does history tell us this? Even Krugmann had to admit that FDR's programs did little to bring us out of the depression....

You guys are just insane.... Just stick it to your kids, yeah that will work!
